ID TECH launches new line of Bluetooth devices for mobile payments

ID TECH, a global provider of automatic identification products, has launched a new line of Bluetooth devices dubbed BTMag and BTScan which support magnetic stripe and barcode reading technologies.

The BTMag is a wireless magnetic stripe reader that communicates with PC terminals or mobile devices through their Bluetooth interface. The BTMag uses ID TECHs MagStripe reading technology, allowing merchants to accept credit card payments on the go. The BTMag can read credit cards, signature debit cards, gift cards and loyalty cards.

The BTScan is a wireless Bluetooth barcode scanner that enables collection of linear bar coded data. The device has a wireless interface that is compatible with Apple iOS and Android, allowing connectivity with kiosks, POS terminals, smartphones, PCs equipped with Bluetooth, notebooks and tablet applications.

ID TECH provides MagStripe readers/writers, mobile payment readers, smart card readers, barcode readers, POS keyboards, signature capture devices, PCI-compliant PIN pads and other services for OEMs, VARs, resellers, distributors and end users.

In recent news, ID TECH has launched the Shuttle mobile magnetic stripe card reader for Apple, Android and Blackberry mobile devices.
