Tunisiana, a mobile network operator in Tunisia, has chosen TransferTo to expand its international mobile top-up service offering Tunisians living overseas additional channels enabling them to send airtime to relatives and friends living in Tunisia. Under the terms of the new partnership, customers looking to send a top-up to a Tunisiana customer will be able to do so online as well as via SMS or at retail locations in France, Canada, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Germany, Spain, USA and the Netherlands.
TransferTo has also partnered Kuwait Telecommunications Company Viva to enable prepaid customers to send credit to relatives and friends abroad. Viva customers can send prepaid credit to an overseas prepaid account in all countries offered under the service. Customers can activate this service and send credit via SMS or through USSD.
Finally, Palestinian mobile operator Wataniya Mobile has partnered TransferTo to enable inbound international mobile top-up services, offering Palestinian expatriates a mobile alternative to traditional remittances. While initially available online, Palestinians will also be able to access the Wataniya Mobile International Airtime Transfer service at retail locations through TransferTo POS distribution partners and via their mobile phone thanks to partnerships with MNOs in countries hosting large communities of Palestinian expatriates including Qatar, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia and France.
