Ingenico launches platform, smartphone app for European retailers

Friday 2 November 2012 09:41 CET | News

French-based provider of payment services Ingenico has launched a platform and smartphone application which allows retailers and quick-service restaurants to interact with digital consumers via smartphone, website or in-store.

Ingenico’s platform and smartphone application provides loyalty, gifting, promotion management and secure payments across retail environments including web, POS, mobile POS and self-service kiosks. Customers can redeem coupons against product purchases, via a QR code and collect loyalty points for product savings and discounts.

Ingenico’s smartphone application and platform also provides geo-location services which allow retailers to deliver targeted offers to consumers based on spend history, store preferences and behaviours. Consumers can also locate their nearest store and find offers. The platform and smartphone application can be used by retailers as a standalone module or combined with existing self-ordering application such as ‘click and collect’ use cases.

In recent news, Ingenico has received certification for the MasterCard PayPass 3.0 terminal specification for its countertop iCT250 terminal.
