Monday 6 May 2013 07:03 CET | News

French-based provider of payment services Ingenico has teamed up with US-based payments processor Heartland Payment Systems on the development of E3 and EMV-capable terminals for rollout to Heartlands relationship managers across the US.

Heartland has selected Ingenicos Telium2 software technology and will call on Ingenicos EMV expertise to help deliver its new terminals and PIN pads. The processor will begin offering and deploying the new terminal to merchants across the US starting with Q4 2013.

Under the agreement, Heartland will integrate its E3 end-to-end encryption solution into Ingenicos EMV-ready terminals and PIN pads. Once activated and installed in a merchants location, the new terminals and PIN pads will provide acceptance of all forms of payment, including EMV contact, contactless and NFC-enabled mobile transactions, while using Heartlands tokenization technology to replace a cardholders data.

In recent news, Ingenico has launched the iWB Bio Series, which leverages biometric authentication through mobile and fingerprint solution.
