US mobile commerce platform provider ROAM Data, a subsidiary of French-based provider of payment services Ingenico, has entered an agreement with payments processor Integrity Payment Systems.

Under the agreement, Integrity Payment Systems is set to provide the ROAMpay mobile payment service to merchants. The credit card reader allows merchants to accept credit card payments directly from their smartphone or tablet devices.

To use the service, merchants need to swipe the card, enter the amount and let the client sign for the transaction with their finger. It automatically sends the customer an email receipt and allows the merchant to capture the email for further promotion.

ROAM Data is a provider of encrypted mobile card readers that supplies solutions for companies such as Intuit, North American Bankcard, Sage Payments, NPC and Total Merchant Services.

ROAM also provides a mobile card acceptance service from peripheral to app to provisioning and support portal that can be white labeled for its partners. It also has a set of tools for developers to build POS apps and mobile checkout apps of their own.

In recent news, ROAM Data, a subsidiary of French-based provider of payment services Ingenico, has launched a mobile point of sale (POS) card reader dubbed G4X.
