US mobile operator Verizon Wireless has entered a strategic alliance with business and financial management services company Intuit. Under the deal, Intuits GoPayment app and credit card reader are set to be made available in Verizon Wireless 2,300 retail stores and business-to-business sales channels across the US.

Intuit GoPayment is a mobile phone app which enables small businesses to process credit cards on the go. It also allows individuals who sell products or services to accept credit card payments wirelessly.

To use the service, clients need to install the GoPayment app on their web-enabled mobiles, as well as open an Intuit GoPayment merchant account. The transaction is processed immediately and funds are automatically deposited into a users bank account within a few business days. GoPayment supports devices on Android, BlackBerry and iOS platforms for most 3G and 4G LTE smartphones and tablets.

The app enables users to review transactions online and synchronize them with QuickBooks.
