US provider of business and financial management services Intuit is reportedly developing a tablet app for its GoPayment service, media outlet techcrunch.com reports.

According to the source, the GoPayment app is expected to be available on both the iPad and Android-powered tablets and is set to allow users to carry out credit card swipe payments, as well as enable merchants to set up a cash register with their own products and prices.

GoPayment is a mobile phone app which enables small businesses to process credit cards on the go. To use the service, clients need to install the GoPayment app on their web-enabled mobiles, as well as open an Intuit GoPayment merchant account. The app enables users to review transactions online and synchronize them with QuickBooks.

The Intuit GoPayment suite employs 128-bit SSL encryption in order to provide data transmission protection. The GoPayment mobile payment app is currently available for iOS, Android and Blackberry-powered devices.

In recent news , India-based financial services provider ICICI Bank has teamed up with Intuit to roll out an online personal finance management service, media outlet indianexpress.com reports.
