Thai commercial bank Kasikornbank and Thai mobile operator DTAC have added seven more banks to their ATM SIM system. With ATM SIM, customers can check their Kasikornbank balance, make transfers and be informed of their payment deadlines.

The ATM SIM subscribers can now transfer money from Kasikornbank accounts to the accounts of seven other banks, namely Bangkok Bank, Krung Thai Bank, Bank of Ayudhya, TMB Bank, Siam Commercial Bank, Siam City Bank and UOB. Starting December 2008, ATM SIM subscribers can also reserve and purchase tickets from SF Cinema City theatres via mobile phones. The ATM SIM system also features a bill alert service that automatically notifies subscribers of the due payment of DTAC phone bills, Kasikornbank credit card bills and bills from the Metropolitan Electricity Authority.

Cross-bank transfer services are charged with THB 25 (EUR 0.56) for an up to THB 20,000 (EUR 446.50) transfer and with THB 35 (EUR 0.78) for transfers between THB 20,001 (EUR 446.52) and THB 50,000 (EUR 1.118). The amount of each money transfer is limited to BHT 50,000 and the total amount transferable per day is set at THB 100,000 (EUR 2.235).

ATM SIM enables customers to conduct financial transactions with Kasikornbank via DTAC mobile phones. At present, there are over 700,00 ATM SIM subscribers who have carried out as many as 6.8 million transactions, with monthly transactions of over THB 4 billion (EUR 89.409 million) a month. The two companies expect the number of ATM SIM subscribers to reach 1 million by the end of 2008.
