US technology company Liberty PlugIns (LPI) has selected mobile parking technology provider QuickPay for the latter’s mobile payment service dubbed QP QuickPay.

Under the agreement, drivers at electric vehicle charging stations are set to be able to pay for a charging session with their mobile devices, via text message or smartphone app using the QP QuickPay mobile payment service and then receive a charging authorization code from LPI. Users are also set to be able to locate QP-enabled charging stations when searching for parking.

QuickPay was founded in 2010 as a provider of mobile parking technology. QuickPay provides a cloud-based mobile parking access and revenue control system that integrates with parking infrastructure, enabling parking and transit owners and operators to deploy mobile payment services.
