Lilitab teams up with VeriFone Systems

Thursday 24 October 2013 00:50 CET | News

Lilitab, a provider of tablet solutions in public environment, has teamed up with US-based electronic payment services provider VeriFone Systems on the development of an Apple MFi-certified self-service payment kiosk, the Lilitab Pro-V.

The co-branded payment kiosk incorporates VeriFone’s payment technology for secure transactions with Lilitabs patented Lilitab Pro tablet enclosure. Through the use of the integrated card reader, merchants can provide their customers with content while reducing their PCI scope with VeriFone’s encryption solution, VeriShield Total Protect, Secured by RSA. The integrated and modular design of the Lilitab Pro-V enables self-service payment stations on any wall, surface or floor.

Lilitab Pro-V payment kiosks can be used for assisted selling and as line-busting mobile payment terminals, with their MagDock locking head unit. The Lilitab Pro-V provides payments through any iPad 2 or 3rd generation device. Lilitab also offers the IrisSwipe iPad app, available in the Apple App Store, for device checkout as well as a software development kit (SDK) to support custom integration into POS applications.

The solution is set to be available worldwide in Q4 2013.

In recent news, American Express and VeriFone Systems teamed up to enable eligible card members to use Membership Rewards points from American Express for their fare in NYC taxi cabs.
