Mahindra Comviva wins GSMA Global Mobile Award for mobiquity services in Bangladesh

Mahindra Comviva, an Indian provider of mobile financial and VAS services, has won the GSMA Global Mobile Award for its mobiquity mTicketing platform.

Deployed in collaboration with operators in Bangladesh and provider of mass transit services Bangladesh Railways, the service allows customers to purchase train tickets using their mobile devices.

Mahindra Comviva’s mobiquity MFS platform offers transaction services such as ticketing, bill payments, domestic and international remittances, micro-insurance and merchant payments over channels including app, NFC, USSD and IVR . Currently mobiquity has been deployed by over 60 financial service providers in 40 countries and serves over 500 million mobile users globally.

In recent news, Mahindra Comviva has partnered with telecommunications service provider Guyana Telephone & Telegraph (GT&T) to deliver mobile financial services.
