Malauzai launches Picture Pay mobile payment service

Tuesday 20 November 2012 09:30 CET | News

US mobile banking application provider Malauzai Software has launched Picture Pay, a mobile payment service that enables users to make payments by taking a photo of bill statements with the camera on their mobile devices.

Picture Pay has been developed in collaboration with Allied Payment Network, a US-based start-up focused on online payment software.

In order to make payments, users need to follow three steps: take a photo of the bill statement, confirm the amount to be paid and submit the payment to the financial institution. Optical character recognition (OCR) technology reads the data from the statement and built-in analytics confirm biller information. Users also have the option to rush payments for a fee.

Malauzai Software provides SmartApps for end users to access banking and customer services from mobile devices such as smartphones and iPads. Customers gave access to services including bill payments, P2P payments as well as card marketing rewards programs.

In recent news, US-based developer of remote deposit capture (RDC) technology Bluepoint Solutions has entered a partnership with Malauzai Software to provide community financial institutions with a mobile deposit service.
