MasterCard Mobile reaches 100.000 downloads milestone

MasterCard Mobile, a product based on Hungarian-based mobile payments applications developer Cellum’s technology, has reached the milestone of 100.000 downloads in May 2013.

Cellum provides mobile payment solutions in Hungary and Bulgaria, and is about to deploy them in other countries as well. MasterCard Mobile, the product of the joint cooperation of MasterCard, mobile network operators T-Mobile, Telenor, financial institution FHB Bank and Cellum is based entirely on Cellum’s technology.

 

With their bank cards registered in the MasterCard Mobile app, users have access to services using their mobile phones to pay bills by scanning QR codes, pay taxi fares, make donations using QR codes, top-up their prepaid cards as well as pay for purchases at accepting merchants’ webshops by entering only their phone number.

Cellum was founded in 2000 and it provides services across areas of m-commerce, including mobile purchasing, mobile payment and contactless NFC technologies.
