Thursday 20 May 2010 11:35 CET | News

Mobile payments services provider Mi-Pay has obtained Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard v1.2 (PCI DSS) certification as a Level 1 merchant and service provider under both MasterCard and Visa.

The certification is set to create a secure environment in which Mi-Pay’s customer financial and card data can be handled and processed. In addition, Mi-Pays PCI certified transaction platform supports the SSL and 3D secure protocol to ensure that all customer data passing through the system is encrypted and that screening systems are built-in to detect fraud.

Founded in 2003, Mi-Pay is a global provider of digital payment services, focusing in particular on outsourced pre-paid top-up services for mobile operators.
