Mobey Forum adds twelve new members

Mobile financial services industry organization the Mobey Forum has added twelve new members to its network.

Allied Irish Banks, p.l.c., CIBC and Gulf Bank are the latest companies to join as Full Members, while Accarda, Accenture, BKM A.S. (Interbank Card Center of Turkey), Monitise, UL (formerly Collis), Fiserv, Metaforic, Welcome Real-time and Redsys have joined as Associate Members.

The new members will work alongside Mobey Forum’s existing members to contribute to the development of the association’s white papers, participate in dedicated task forces and workgroups and attend quarterly member meetings.

Founded in May 2000, Mobey Forum is a non-profit, financial industry-driven forum whose mission is to encourage the use of mobile technology in financial services. Its membership comprising financial institutions, mobile network operators, mobile handset manufacturers, payment processors and vendors, now collectively represents more than 460 million banking customers globally, which represents more than 25 percent of the global customer base.

In recent news, Mobey Forum has opened a new chapter in North America to deal with issues related to the mobile financial ecosystem.
