Indian mobile payment startup Ezetap has secured USD 23 million in Series C funding from Horizons Ventures (the private investment arm for Li Ka-Shing), Capricorn Investment Group and existing investors.

In 2014, the startup raised USD 8 million from Helion Advisors, Silicon Valley-based Social+Captial Partnership and Berggruen.

Ezetap was founded in 2011 and its solution turns any merchant’s mobile device into a point of sale that is able to read cards and complete a range of financial transactions, including credit card sale, bill payment and ATM cash withdrawals or deposits.
