US provider of tablet PCs and supporting mobility solutions Motion Computing and US manufacturer of electronic devices and systems MagTek have launched QwickPAY, a mobile payment solution for the Motion CL900 SlateMate, to provide retailers with mobile point of sale services.

QwickPAY enables store associates to process transactions via the CL900 SlateMate, providing retailers with amobile point-of-sale (POS) solution. After inputting the transaction amount and swiping the customer payment card via the CL900 SlateMate’s integrated MagTek Secure Card Reader Authenticator (SCRA), the customer signs his/her name using the CL900’s digitizer pen and the transaction is processed. Additionally, the merchant is able to run standard or customized reports on the mobile platform.

In September 2011, MagTek and US financial services provider Payments Gateway have launched a new Point-to-Point Encryption (P2PE) payment service.
