Swiss credential services provider Multicard, a subsidiary of global identification-based technology company Identive Group, has launched its Cashless Betalen mobile payment application across Holland .

Multicards Cashless Betalen is the account management application behind the digital wallet provided by Netherlands-based financial institution Rabobank.

Cashless Betalen clients are set to use an internet connection via their mobile devices or computer to check account balances, transfer and deposit funds and make payments.

Multicard’s apps are currently available for Apple and Android phones. Also, Multicard’s digital wallet customers are provided with near field communication (NFC) tokens which are set to enable mobile devices to make cashless payments.

These tokens take the form of stickers which are affixed to the back of the mobile device. In order to make a purchase, the user taps the sticker on the designated spot on the POS terminal at checkout. The NFC stickers and other payment tokens can be purchased on Multicards Cashless Betalen online market.
