Chase Card Services, a division of JPMorgan Chase, US financial institution Capital One Financial Corp and UK credit card, insurance and loan services provider Barclaycard have entered an agreement with Isis, a mobile commerce joint venture created by AT&T, T-Mobile USA and Verizon Wireless. Under the deal, Chase, Capital One and Barclaycard are set to enable their credit, debit and prepaid cards to be placed into the Isis mobile wallet.

Starting mid-2012 consumers are set to be able to load their Chase, Capital One and Barclaycard cards into their Isis mobile wallet and shop at participating merchants.

Isis is expected to enable consumers to carry out mobile contactless payments via NFC technology at retail outlets such as restaurants, movie theaters and drug stores. Consumers will be able to pay, present loyalty cards and redeem coupons with a tap of their phones.

In July 2011, Isis teamed up with Visa, MasterCard, US-based direct banking and payment services company Discover and US financial services company American Express to allow consumers and merchants to operate payments via Isis-enabled phones and payment terminals in place.
