MWC 2012: Western Union, WIND partner for mobile money transfer services

Western Union has entered a partnership with Italian mobile network operator WIND to allow WIND’s subscribers to send Western Union money transfer transactions from their phones using WIND’s suite of services including apps and SMS.

Under the agreement, subscribers are set to be able to send money from prepaid, credit and debit cards. Recipients can pick up their funds in cash at Western Union Agent locations worldwide.

In recent news, Taiwanese commercial bank King’s Town Bank has introduced the Western Union money transfer online service, which is set to allow registered online banking clients to make Western Union transactions internationally.
