New Balance, Samsonite select VeriFone for mPOS service

Thursday 10 May 2012 10:35 CET | News

US retailers New Balance and Samsonite have selected US-based electronic payment services provider VeriFone Systems for the latter’s GlobalBays Mobile Point of Sale (mPOS) service.

The VeriFone GlobalBay mPOS enables store associates to provide mobile checkout at the point of interaction with the customers. It also provides them with access to inventory, price and product information, as well as customer purchase history and recommendations.

With VeriFone’s GlobalBay Apps store associates are empowered to work with the customers as they are shopping throughout the store, reducing the risk that shoppers will grow frustrated by waiting and abandon the purchase process.

Samsonite and New Balance are also set to use VeriFones PAYware Mobile Enterprise card encryption service for card acceptance and encryption of payment transactions.
