UK-based mobile communication provider O2 has selected MACH, a Luxembourg-based provider of hub-based mobile communication services, to enable direct operator billing on the network’s platform dubbed ‘Charge to Mobile’.

MACH’s direct billing gateway enables in-app payments for O2 subscribers. The gateway provides an operator billing service for mobile applications, content and mobile internet services, allowing providers to charge subscribers for services to their mobile phone bill or prepaid balance.

MACH provides various SS7 and direct IP connections covering more than 750 operators in over 200 countries worldwide through a single point of connection. MACH’s mobile messaging services are utilized by brands including KLM and Microsoft.

In recent news, UK-based micro-payment specialist GlobalCharge has selected MACH to launch its direct operator billing service in Germany.
