Online Banking Solutions adds mobile channel to Online Messenger multi-channel platform

US business banking technology company Online Banking Solutions (OBS) has rolled out its new Messenger Mobile Services, a mobile channel looking to support commercial banking transactions for banks business customers.

The new mobile channel uses OBS’s Online Messenger, a multi-channel, event-based information and file delivery platform. Online Messenger includes a base system for bank and customer administration, as well as a series of services and delivery channels that support data and information processing, transformation, delivery and reporting.

In addition to the TEXT/SMS notifications already supported by Online Messenger, users may choose the mobile channel to view account their balance, transaction information and special reports, initiate account-to-account transfers, pre-defined payments or payment batches and receive service alerts, payment advices and urgent notifications.

Messenger Mobile Services will provide a mobile banking channel with applications for iPhone and Blackberry smart phones. Enhanced security is enabled through a one-time pass code for entitled business accounts and subscribed services. Additional functionality includes secure transaction approvals and positive pay exception and decision support.
