Orange, MFS Africa launch international mobile money transfer service in Mali

French mobile network operator Orange has entered an agreement with technology provider MFS Africa to make the remittance service dubbed Orange Money Transfer International (OMTI) available to Orange Money users in Mali.

Under the agreement, Orange Money customers in Mali are set to be able to receive international remittances directly to their Orange Money accounts. In order to transfer funds in Mali, customers need to register on the OMTI portal, pay with their bank cards and remit the funds which the beneficiary receives on their mobile phone.

In recent news, Orange has entered an agreement with financial services provider Pride Microfinance and financial institution Post Bank to launch its mobile money transfer service in Uganda.
