Paydiant, Menusoft Systems launch integrated mobile wallet service for restaurants

Tuesday 26 February 2013 10:56 CET | News

US technology provider Menusoft Systems has entered an agreement with Boston-based mobile payments company Paydiant to integrate the latter’s mobile wallet solution into its Digital Dining restaurant management and point-of-sale (POS) software system.

Under the agreement, Menusoft’s Digital Dining customers can enable pay-at-the-counter, pay-at-the-tablet/handheld and pay-at-the-table mobile wallet capabilities, along with targeted mobile offers and offer redemption, branded and configured to meet the needs of each restaurant customer.

Once end-customers use their smartphones to download a restaurant’s branded mobile wallet app and their payment cards are linked to the wallet, restaurant customers will scan a QR code presented to them on a payment terminal or on a receipt at the table. From there, customers use their mobile device to choose which offers to redeem and which card type to use to complete the transaction.

In recent news, Paydiant has been granted a patent from the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
