PayPal launches new Cash for Registers program targeted at US mPOS market

Thursday 16 May 2013 14:32 CET | News

Global payments company PayPal has launched its new “Cash for Registers” program aimed at consolidating and expanding its position in the mobile card processing space.

Via Cash for Registers, PayPal is waiving transaction fees for qualifying US businesses using its PayPal Here mPOS offering to accept credit, debit card, cheque and PayPal payments by the end of 2013. PayPal is also making this offer available for solutions pre-integrated with PayPal from its existing POS partners including ERPLY, Leaf, Leapset, NCR Silver, ShopKeep POS and Vend.

“To deliver a delightful shopping experience at scale, merchants need to let go of their old cash register for innovative technology that will enable them to serve their customers better and grow their businesses”, reads a blog post published on 14 May 2013 by PayPal president David Marcus.
