PayPal has entered an agreement with Swedish provider of social gift giving application Wrapp offering users incentives to pay for gifts using its service rather than credit cards.

Wrapp allows users to choose gift cards, top them up with credit and send them to Facebook friends via desktop or mobile apps. Multiple friends can contribute money to a gift card and the receiver can redeem the card at a relevant retailer. The partnership will see PayPal contributing USD 7.35 to any gift card sent by a user paying via PayPal on their mobile devices. Users can also pay for gift cards using credit cards.

In recent news, PayPal has signed an agreement with Doku, an Indonesia-based payment solutions provider, in order to expand its business to Indonesia’s small and medium enterprises.
