Payteller selects CheckAlt for cheque cashing services

Payteller, a provider of self-service kiosks enabling financial services, has selected payment processing company CheckAlt for the latter’s Remote Deposit Capture (RDC) offering.

The Payteller provides prepaid cellular phone top up, international long distance and bill pay, with features such as money transfer, prepaid debit card loading and prepaid debit card issuance coming in the near future. The Payteller with RDC is set to assist banks, credit unions, cheque cashing stores, convenience stores and grocery stores.

CheckAlt provides checking services such as eChecks, an alternative to paper cheques and their RDC offering. CheckAlt currently delivers to financial institutions in a number of image cash letter formats.

CheckAlt is a Check 21 application company providing Remote Deposit Capture, eCheck services and mobile payments. CheckAlt’s clients include banks, credit unions, cheque cashers and money service businesses (MSBs), insurance companies, municipalities, utilities and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

Payteller is focused on bringing financial services to the unbanked and underbanked worldwide. Payteller provides telecom top up, international long distance, bill payment, Check21 services, prepaid card issuing, prepaid card loading, remittance, advertising, virtual gift cards and others.

In recent news, Mobivity, a US-based provider of mobile marketing technologies and services, has entered an agreement with CheckAlt to develop and deploy mobile cheque acceptance applications for local merchants across the US.
