Mobile wallet platform Paytoo and US-based IT and mobile services provider Aptosolutions have partnered to offer mobile payments and telecommunication services in Argentina and the Mercosur region.

Under terms of the agreement, these services are set to be available via any mobile phone in the specified territories.

The system works with an international GSM SIM card which replaces the regular carrier card. In turn, the user is set to make local and international long distance calls, transfer credits, pay bills, pay merchants, check balances and withdraw money. Also, customers should have access to telecommunications services in over 230 countries worldwide.

Paytoo users are set to be able to talk to each other free of charge via Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) and SMS call back.

In recent news, Paytoo has entered a partnership with XY Prepago, the technology operator of the transactional platform technology of G-Tel Group, a mobile operator in Ecuador. Under terms of the agreement, Paytoo and XY Prepago are set to develop the joint provision of telecommunications services and mobile wallet from mobile phones in Ecuador.
