Proflight Zambia selects Airtel Money as a payment option for flight tickets

Telecommunication services company Airtel Networks Zambia has partnered with airline company Proflight Zambia to enable customers purchase flight tickets countrywide using Airtel Money service.

Under the terms of the agreement, customers are set to be able to book Proflight tickets online, over the phone or at nationwide sales offices and pay for the tickets via their mobile phones using Airtel’s encrypted mobile payments service.

Airtel Money is a mobile money platform which allows customers to make payments and other non-cash transactions using money loaded in the mobile phones.

Proflight Zambia is a scheduled airline and operates regular flights to a number of national locations, as well as to Malawi and Tanzania.

The airline’s customers can also opt to receive their flight ticket to their mobile phones.

In recent news, Bharti Airtel has entered an agreement with airline company Air France to enable customers to purchase flight tickets from the French airline via Airtel Money.
