US mobile payments provider for online purchases BilltoMobile has entered an agreement with Rhapsody, a streaming music provider, to provide mobile payment services for the latter’s premium music subscriptions.

Under the terms of the agreement, BilltoMobile’s global subscription service is set to enable Rhapsodys listeners to pay for music using their wireless carrier account.

By using BilltoMobiles payment platform interfaces, merchants can provide their consumers with a number of purchase options such as one-time, initial trial and then paid subscription, in approximately 80 countries.
BilltoMobile and its strategic investor Danal, an e-commerce transactions processor, have processed over USD 4 billion in mobile billing transactions since the company launched with its first mobile carrier partner in Korea in 2000.

In recent news, BilltoMobile has extended its services for Massive Multiplayer Online (MMO) powerhouse NCSOFT to North America.
