ROAM Data mobile card readers to be distributed with Intuit GoPayment in Verizon retail stores

US mobile commerce platform provider ROAM Data has entered an agreement with Verizon Wireless to make available its ROAMpay swipe product (being distributed by its partner Intuit) in Verizon Wireless’s 2,300 retail stores.

ROAM Data is a provider of encrypted mobile card readers that supplies solutions for companies such as Intuit, North American Bankcard, Sage Payments, NPC and Total Merchant Services. ROAM also provides a mobile card acceptance service from peripheral to app to provisioning and support portal that can be white labeled for its partners. It also has a set of tools for developers to build POS apps and mobile checkout apps of their own.

In recent news, US mobile operator Verizon Wireless has also entered a strategic alliance with business and financial management services company Intuit. Under the deal, Intuits GoPayment app and credit card reader are set to be made available in Verizon Wireless retail stores and B2B sales channels across the US.
