Rwanda: Airtel to launch mobile money platform

Airtel Rwanda, a division of Indian telecommunication services company Bharti Airtel, is set to launch a mobile banking platform dubbed Airtel Money by the end of 2012, online media outlet allafrica.com.

According to the source, the new platform is set to enable subscribers to send and receive money, pay bills and access their bank accounts.

In recent news, Bharti Airtel has introduced its “my airtel” application, which will allow Airtel customers to check their outstanding bills, recharge their accounts, make payments and activate or deactivate services.
