Samsung ties up with Vodafone, Aircel for direct carrier billing app in India

Samsung Electronics, a global provider of smart devices and services, has entered an agreement with telecommunication service providers Vodafone India and Aircel to launch direct carrier billing service for its Samsung app store.

Following the agreement, Samsung smartphone users are set to be able to download their favourite apps and games with the option of payment through their mobile bill. The operator billing integration is set to be available for both prepaid and postpaid customers.

In recent news, Vodafone has signed an agreement with Austrian software company Bluesource, to provide a Vodafone wallet version of its ‘mobile-pocket’ app, a customer card and shopping app.
