Scotiabank launches new m-banking services

Thursday 3 December 2009 07:20 CET | News

North Americas financial services provider Scotiabank has made two new mobile services available for its customers.

With the first service, dubbed Scotia InfoAlerts, customers receive notifications via text message or e-mail, thus being able to monitor their transactional activities. The second one is an application for the iPhone and iPod touch or Blackberry smartphones and offers Canadians a GPS locator, connecting them with the location of Scotiabank branches and ABMs. Customers can also receive security-related alerts informing them on unusual activity on their account. Via the application, customers gain access to additional information related to branches and their hours of operation, contact details and languages spoken.
