Monday 14 September 2009 11:04 CET | News

Clear2Pay, a Belgium-based payment services provider for financial institutions, has introduced the PocketBanking suite of services.

Based on Clear2Pays Open Payment Framework, PocketBanking enables customers to access their bank accounts and initiate transactions on an iPhone. Users can set up PocketBanking in three different ways: via SMS transactions, mobile internet transactions (on a mobile device through internet) or transactions via Mobile ‘On-Board’ banking enabled application which allows users to establish a connection through an applet on the mobile device. The Mobile “On Board” Banking product incorporates Digipass technology for Mobile from authentication, e-signature and security systems provider Vasco Data Security.

PocketBanking enables classical e-banking functionality through the mobile channel, including mini statements, account history, search, international and domestic transfers and remittance services.

Launched at the 2009 SWIFT International Banking Operations Seminar (SIBOS 2009) which currently takes place in Hong Kong and initially only on the Apple iPhone, the Clear2Pay PocketBanking solution is to be made available on all smartphones.
