SingTel, Boku in direct carrier billing partnership

Asian telecommunications operator SingTel has entered an agreement with US direct carrier billing mobile payments company Boku to launch direct carrier billing in Singapore.

Following the agreement, SingTel postpaid subscribers are able to start paying with their mobile account at participating merchants.

SingTel plans to extend its payment mechanism to other regional carriers within their group including Optus (Australia), Telkomsel (Indonesia), AIS (Thailand) and Globe (Philippines).

In recent news, Mobile Embrace, an Australian mobile payments and mobile marketing company, has entered an agreement with SingTel to extend its presence across Asia.
