Friday 22 January 2010 10:51 CET | News

Singapore-based global mobile airtime transfer company TransferTo has teamed up with SmarTone-Vodafone, a partner network of the Vodafone Group, to offer mobile stored value recharge top-up service for Indonesian and Filipino clients of SmarTone-Vodafone.

Indonesian and Filipino migrant workers using the dedicated ethnic mobile service (branded Sahabat Setia SmarTone and Bakardahan sa SmarTone) can recharge the prepaid mobile service of relatives or friends living in Indonesia and the Philippines. To perform a top-up, the sender needs to enter USSD code *112* followed by the amount and destination number. The transactions are processed in real-time via the TransferTo secure platform.

The solution is mainly offered to foreign communities and international workers who maintain strong ties with their families and relatives abroad.
