Tuesday 24 January 2012 13:02 CET | News

African retailer PEP has selected South African financial services provider First National Bank (FNB) for its eWallet money transfer service.

Under the agreement, South African consumers with a bar-coded South African ID can deposit money, send money, withdraw money, make payments and purchase goods at any PEP store in the country using their mobile devices.

In November 2011, FNB extended its agreement with PayPal to allow South African account holders to withdraw money from their PayPal account to any South African bank account.
