French developer of telecommunications software systems eServGlobal has extended its long-term partnership with Syria-based mobile operator Syriatel for its PayMobile service. The offering is on trial pending authorities’ approvals in Syria.

Under the terms of the renewed contract, eServGlobal is expected to provide Syriatel subscribers with its PayMobile platform, which is set to offer mobile money services, bill payment and salary disbursement options. The PayMobile offering is currently deployed in 30 countries.

Syriatel first implemented eServGlobal’s technology in 2005 to manage their recharge needs, initially with voucher recharge and then introducing electronic recharge in 2008. Syriatel counts over 6.4 million subscribers.

eServGlobal develops and implements mobile payment, network services and messaging products for operators in mobile, fixed and IMS network environments.
