Telenor Pakistan, Tameer Bank unveil m-banking initiative

GSM cellular service provider Telenor Pakistan has entered an agreement with financial services provider Tameer Microfinance Bank to roll out the easypaisa mobile banking service.

The service enables customers to pay electricity, gas and PTCL telephone bills, send and receive money at thousands of outlets as well as manage bank accounts via their mobile phones. The service can be used at any easypaisa authorised shop, Telenor Franchise, Telenor Sales & Service Center or Tameer Bank branch. For bill payments under PKR 1000, PKR 1001 to PKR 4000, and over PKR 4000, clients will be charged with PKR 10, 15, or 25.
