Texas Trust Credit Union launches mobile remote deposit capture service

Tuesday 2 April 2013 14:23 CET | News

US-based financial institution Texas Trust Credit Union has launched a remote deposit capture service.

This new mobile banking service allows members to deposit cheques while on-the-go by taking a picture of the cheque with a smartphone or mobile device.

Mobile deposit is part of Texas Trusts mobile solutions portfolio. It works on most Apple or Android smartphones or tablets, without the need for a computer. Members endorse the cheque, snap a picture of the front and back of the cheque using their mobile device, then submit for deposit.

This functionality combined with Texas Trusts mobile banking allows members to access account information, check account balances, transfer money between accounts, view transaction history and search for surcharge-free ATMs using a smartphone. It also allows for instant transfers between different Texas Trust members.

Texas Trust has worked with Cachet Financial Solutions, a provider of remote deposit capture (RDC) services, to develop the mobile capture functionality and its integration partner Access SoftTek for the mobile banking platform.
