Wednesday 8 June 2011 10:35 CET | News

US-based business software developer Think Computer has added NFC support to its FaceCash wallet mobile application on the Android platform. FaceCash is a mobile payment system that allows consumers to use their mobile phones to make purchases at the PoS.

As a result, the FaceCash payment system currently supports both barcode and NFC-based communication at the PoS. Think Computer’s FaceCash Wallet is available for the iPhone, as well as for Android- and BlackBerry-powered devices.

In addition, Think has also made its FaceCash Register web-based cash register support cash drawer management. FaceCash Register already supported credit and debit card processing integration with Authorize.Net and native support for FaceCash payments.

In May 2010, Think Computer rolled out its FaceCash mobile payment service.
