Thyron Systems, Payatrader team up for m-payments services

UK-based technology company Thyron Systems has entered an agreement with payments services provider Payatrader to incorporate its POSMate smart terminal into the latter’s general release of a pocket GPRS mobile payment device for the micro-merchant sector.

Under the agreement, Payatrader is set to 3start the release with an initial deployment of 1,000 Thyron devices to their customer base.

Features of the new Payatrader service include SMS receipting for the cardholder, direct interfacing with the existing Payatrader online portal, first-touch light activation and automatic standby mode.

Thyron Systems was founded in 1989 as a supplier of solutions for the mobile payment sector. Its services target the retail, hospitality and transportation industries.

In recent news, Payatrader has launched a card processing terminal with electronic receipting for home services traders and small businesses.
