Tigo Rwanda and Western Union have unveiled the launch of a service that allows reception of international remittances directly into a mobile money wallet via Tigo Cash accounts.

Rwandans receiving money from families and friends from across the globe are now able to retrieve their funds via their mobile phones.

Once the remittance is received, customers can use the funds to access all the services and benefits that Tigo Mobile Financial Services provide.

In recent months, Tigo Rwanda has launched a cross-border mobile money remittance with integrated currency conversion in conjunction with Tigo Tanzania.
