TIO Networks launches mobile payments app

Wednesday 13 June 2012 11:30 CET | News

Canadian multi-channel expedited bill payment processor TIO Networks has launched a mobile application for underbaked consumers dubbed TIO MobilePay.

The TIO MobilePay application allows consumers to pay bills via VISA or MasterCard branded payment cards as well as schedule bill payments in real time.

The application is powered by TIO Wallet and is the first of a suite of cloud-based products for US underbanked consumers that TIO Networks is set to launch in 2012.

TIO Wallet customers are set to load cash into their personal wallet accounts through TIO’s retail network of self-service automated kiosks and over-the-counter locations. Once loaded, customers can use TIO smartphones or web apps to make bill payments, track their bill paying history or engage in other wallet services. TIO Wallet supports payments from bank accounts as well as credit or debit cards from financial services providers worldwide.

TIO Networks is a cloud based multi-channel bill payment processor for telecom, wireless, cable and utility network operators in North America.
