TransferTo, PaymentLink launch international prepaid mobile transfer service in Singapore

Tuesday 20 November 2012 14:29 CET | News

Singapore-based global mobile airtime transfer company TransferTo, an Ingenico company, has entered an agreement with PaymentLink to launch the Mobile AirTime Transfer (MATT) service that allows customers to send mobile credits in the Philippines, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal from 7-Eleven’s locations across Singapore.

To use the service, 7-Eleven customers have to provide the staff with the number they wish to recharge and their own mobile phone number in Singapore. The recharge gift is then automatically credited to the recipient’s mobile phone.

PaymentLink is the partner of the Land Transport Authority of Singapore (LTA) and the exclusive partner of EZ-Link for the provision of non-transit payment and loyalty services for concession and ez-link cards. PaymentLink integrates value-added services such as consumer loyalty programs, access control, online statements and reporting on a contactless card medium.

In recent news, French-based provider of payment services Ingenico has entered an agreement with financial services provider BNP Paribas Fortis to allow retailers to use their smartphones to receive card payments in Belgium.
