TSYS makes MobilePASS application available for smartphone card acceptance

US payment processor TSYS Acquiring Solutions has introduced the MobilePASS payment application which enables on-the-go merchants like taxi drivers, field service technicians, craft show vendors and delivery personnel to accept and process card payments.

The company`s smartphone-based payment application provides credit and debit card processing, voids, returns and reporting and can be used as an alternative to more traditional methods such as wireless terminals, Interactive Voice Response (IVR) systems When integrated with the PayMate Pro 200, a Bluetooth magnetic stripe reader and thermal printer, MobilePASS allows merchants to qualify for card-present interchange rates.
