Wednesday 25 November 2015 14:02 CET | News

Singaporean financial institution UOB has launched a new mobile app, UOB Mighty, which enables customers to make contactless payments using their smartphones.

With UOB Mighty consumers with a near-field communication-enabled Android smartphone can link to a UOB Visa credit or debit card to make payments. MasterCard users will be given this functionality as of early 2016.

Apart from the standard banking activities, the app has a dining feature which lets users receive recommendations on and make bookings at restaurants.
