Virgin Media, a UK provider of broadband, TV, mobile phone and home phone services has selected UK-based e-billing and payment software services provider ebpSource for the latter’s mobile e-billing service.

Under the agreement, the new mobile e-billing service is set to allow Virgin Medias customers to view and pay bills, switch tariffs, order phones, top up their accounts and download software upgrades.

The mobile e-billing platform is aligned with Virgin Medias e-billing and payment applications for its cable customers, which have also been developed by ebpSource.

ebpSource delivers software services to billers, banks and payment processors. It is also a distributor for the CheckFree i-Series, an e-billing and payment software suite which supports e-billing, e-invoicing and payment applications across the financial services, telecoms, utility, postal, outsourcing, manufacturing and logistics sectors.

In recent news, ProgressSoft, a developer of payments and imaging technologies, has entered a partnership with ebpSource at MEFTEC 2012, a financial technology event for emerging markets which took place in Dubai between 25 and 26 April 2012.
